Today we’re going to start talking about your Vision Board. This is a time to get really clear on your why’s and what you really want out of life. I like to do a vision board every couple of years, though I haven’t actually done one in the past two years. So guess what I’ll be doing this month?
Your vision board is a place to put all of the things you want in your life – vacations, homes, cars, love and friendships, sayings that mean a lot to you, other key words, etc.
It is NOT a place to say what you don’t want. You’d be surprised how often I run across vision boards and goal lists that talk about what someone doesn’t want. The Universe does not hear the words no or not, so anything you are talking about is called to you, even if you say, “I don’t want _______.” The Universe hears, “I want _________. More of that, please.”
This is why you won’t find me donating to “No Cancer” funds or “Let’s stomp out diabetes” walks or even “Anti-War” rallies. The reason is the focus is on cancer, diabetes, and war – all of the things we don’t want. Instead, you would want to focus on health and peace.
This week start to get clear on what you DO want for your life. If you have to think about what you don’t want in order to get more clear, that’s okay as long as you focus your feelings and energy on what you do want. A really fantastic on how to do this can be found in Sarah, Book 1 by Esther and Jerry Hicks of the Abraham-Hicks series.
So start thinking today about what you do want and we’ll talk more about creating your Vision Board tomorrow.
