Today’s challenge is to post a picture of nature, water element. I have always loved being in and near the water. It was one of the requirements when I left where I grew up: I wanted to be somewhere with hills or mountains, with lots of trees, and near the water.
These days I live in a place that is the fulfillment of all of these requirements. There is a river about 2 miles from us. We are also about 45 minutes from the coast. Of course, the ocean is freezing, but it’s still the ocean. Some day we may find a place that has all of these requirements with warm water. 🙂
Water is very important to me, but it is generally related to emotions. In Tarot it is related to the suit of Cups. As much as I love water, I still have trouble connecting to my emotions. Maybe some day.
Often when people post pictures of water they choose waterfalls, rivers, or something above the ground. I actually like below the water better. I met my husband in a scuba diving class, though neither of us have been diving since. We have been snorkling, however, and in Hawaii that is just as good. Actually, it’s even better considering you don’t have to lug around heavy air tanks.

I LOVE water. My favorite activity is swimming, I take a shower in the mornings and long, hot bubble baths in the evenings. I am most definitely a water goddess…
My sun sign is a fire sign, my moon is an earth sign but I have a stellium in the 12th house so maybe this is why I am so attracted to water…
Marian, you’re the first person I’ve ever heard say they take a shower in the mornings and a bath in the evenings besides me. I love to do both, but over the years have been guilted into stopping this habit by environmentalist-types who say I am wasting too much of the earth’s precious resources when I do this. But if it makes me so happy…why not?
I also love the water i live just 2min walk from the sea in Kusadasi Turkey. I can sit for hours just watching water.
Ok, now I’m just jealous. 🙂

Me, too. My hubby wants to go back to Hawaii. I think as long as I can get him to stay in more of the city areas I’ll like it. I can’t deal with the roosters at all hours everywhere. But on the 8th floor of a hotel, you can’t hear them! Or in the ocean. Win/win! 🙂

I have a water Sun sign, my ascendant is an earth but my Mars is also in water sign so people around me are “taken at the flood” so to speak. 😉 And I have Jupiter in a water sign in the second house of wants & personal finance.
I have about three other planets in an air sign. so I tihink it does end up getting balanced out a bit. 😀
